Two members of the rhw team recently attended an Army Engagement Team Event in Guildford, the aim of which was to give the audience a greater understanding of the British Army and what they do for us.
The talk explained why we have an Army, what they are doing on the Nation’s behalf, how they train and develop the soldiers, how the army is structured and what they are doing to ensure success both today and in the future. We can safely say that our eyes were opened to the strength and bravery of our armed forces as well as receiving some feedback as to a perceived lack of support from the legal profession.
We have always taken our corporate social responsibility very seriously here at rhw and felt that we could do more to support the armed forces.
rhw are therefore very pleased to announce that we have signed up to the Armed Forces Covenant. The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise to those who serve or who have served, and their families. It says we will do all we can to ensure they are treated fairly and not disadvantaged in their day-to-day lives.
Amongst other things, rhw have pledged to celebrate Armed Forces Day, hold fundraisers and even offer a discounted rate to those who are serving in the armed forces.
