We are a progressive, family friendly law firm based in the centre of Guildford. The role is for a Litigation Solicitor to work in the firm’s Dispute Resolution team. The candidate will work alongside two existing solicitors whose practice covers a range of litigation. Applicants should ideally have around 2-4 years’ post qualification experience that should cover commercial disputes, civil disputes (ideally involving contentious probate) and commercial and residential property disputes. This is a permanent, full-time role and is offered on a ‘hybrid’ basis, with attendance at our offices currently required for no more than two days per week.
Required Skills & Experience:
• Be able to demonstrate detailed knowledge and technical expertise in dealing with a mixture of areas of litigation
• Experience and interest in employment law is welcomed
• Be able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to work and prioritise systematically, attention to detail and methodically manage multiple matters to meet deadlines
• Be able to generate their own referrals in order to create their own client base and generate further work for other Teams and the firm
• Help evolve a marketing strategy for the Team
• Be fully engaged with the firm’s marketing strategy and be prepared to attend marketing events, produce articles and make relevant posts on social media to complement the firm’s activity
• Have worked within, or be familiar with and able to comply with, the requirements of Lexcel
• Have a commercial and creative mindset
• Have strong IT skills, preferably with experience of P4W case management system
