Surrey Business Group, which Nick Richardson of rhw Solicitors LLP helped to establish, becomes first group to join the Disability Challengers Business Club and to become a Challengers Champion.
The BEST Business Group has become Surrey's first group to join the Disability Challengers Champions Business Club.
On 9th November BEST presented a cheque to the children's charity to support its excellent work with disabled people between 5 and 25. The £1,000 will help fund activities for a year.
The presentation followed a guest appearance at BEST's weekly breakfast by Disability Challengers fund-raising manager, Mady Hatton, who gave a 10 minute talk, explaining how supporting the charity will help businesses build trust and respect.
he benefits of the Challengers Business Club, she added, include quarterly dinners with top business speakers; quarterly networking evenings with like-minded businesses in the region, and an annual celebrity dinner with one of Challengers' patrons, Damon Hill, former Formula1 world champion, Michael Buerk, BBC household name, or actor, Matthew Kelly.
Challenger Champions, as corporate sponsors, also get regular credit on e-letters, Newsletters and the Challengers website with its 4,000 unique users every month.
