Grandparents
With modern life making more and more demands on parents, the idea of the extended family has become a vital element of bringing up a family. The relationship between children and their Grandparents often includes regular sessions to allow one or both parents to work and this has resulted in Grandparents often taking an active role in the raising of Grandchildren.
But what happens if one parent dies or the marriage or relationships breaks down? Whilst the parent may not have direct contact any more does that automatically mean that the Grandparent should cut ties?
