Richard practices employment law and has a particular interest in Age Discrimination. Richard is a keen advocate and regularly represents clients at Employment Tribunals.
He has taught the law of tort, employment and discrimination on the LLB programmes, and was the Director of the LLM in Employment Law at Surrey University. He has taught and given guest lectures on employment law and discrimination at several universities in the UK and overseas.
His most recent publications are, Labour Law, with Robert Upex and Stephen Hardy, published in 2009 by Oxford University Press (third edition 2009), and Questions and Answers on Employment Law 2012 and 2013 (fifth 2012), with Malcolm Sargeant and Michael Jefferson, published in 2012, also published by Oxford University Press.
Outside of work Richard is interested in tennis, cycling, walking and he is a dedicated theatre-goer.
