David Denovan-Smith has now joined the Private Client team as solicitor dealing with contested probate cases.
David has been involved with a number of probate cases including winning the high profile “Fry v Densham-Smith” case revolving around the issue of “mutual wills” that eventually went to the Court of Appeal.
With the changes to the traditional “nuclear family” continuing, contested wills and probate are becoming more common than in the past. Multiple partners, children from different relationships and inadequate will writing can all cause problems for relatives after the death of a loved one.
Other areas which often arise are in the sphere of unsuitable executors and trustees.
