Samantha Jago has become a Family Law Accredited Specialist with Resolution. Resolution was formerly known as the Solicitors Family Law Association (SFLA) and is an organisation that believes in a constructive, non-confrontational approach to family law matters. Resolution also campaigns for improvements to the family justice system.
Encouraging good practice
The cornerstone of Resolution membership is adherence to the Code of Practice, which sets out the principles of a non-confrontational approach to family law matters. The code requires lawyers to deal with each other in a civilised way and to encourage their clients to put their differences aside and reach fair agreements.
Resolution specialists are members who have submitted themselves to a rigorous assessment to demonstrate the highest levels of knowledge, practical application of the law, and best practice. The assessment compromises an exam, conducted over a weekend, two dissertations and evidence of experience in specific practice areas. Specialists must also have gained at least five years post qualification experience.
Samantha Said:
I am very proud to achieve accreditation with Resolution. The assessment criteria is very tough and not everyone meets the required standard. I am particularly pleased as Resolution adopts an ethos designed to assist clients in reaching agreement rather than raising the temperature and pitting couples against each another.
Being an accredited specialist with both the Law Society and Resolution is a marker that rhw are always setting themselves new targets to improve the range of services they are able to offer clients.
Samantha achieving Resolution recognition adds further to the services and expertise offered to clients by rhw.
