In 1835 the delightfully named George Crafter, founded the firm of Burton & Son in Central London. This firm eventually became Rodgers Horsley & Burton. The Guildford partners of this practice merged with Whitemans in 1991 to become Rodgers Horsley Whitemans. In December 2002 it changed its name to rhw solicitors.
